In the meantime....

A journey down memory lane. I thought I would post some of the teddies I have made in years gone by. There have been a few more but they have been given away as presents.
First is Esmeralda. Esmeralda is quite special as she was made for my grandmother when she was alive. Esmeralda (named by my nan) accompanied Nan to the nursing home as she progressed back when she was afflicted with alzheimers. She was much loved by Nan as you can see by the condition of her mohair fur. She came back to me when Nan passed away.

Harold! He is a cute little man I love his solemn face his leather pads and his lovely mohair.

This is my favourite bear she was my first one and her name is Clover! I made her at a class at Kerry's when she (and her sister Margie) had her shop is Bacchus Marsh. Anyway she came with her blanket but I thought she looked a bit lonely so I made her baby to go with her.

Your teddies are wonderful, and they have so much sweet personality. I know that Esmeralda must be especially precious to you.

Awwwwww shucks.
I was looking at a suggested post for Fridays where you posted special treasures.
I thought of my wooden camels but they were too high but did not think of the bears. Am rather itching to do another one but think I have Alexandra or someone like that from Kerrie proably to finish and dress. Her face is finished.Think the dress making is putting me off......lol.

Esmerelda would have been greatly loved. My sister in law bought her Mother a white bear when she went to the Nursing Home because of alzheimers. She had a 98th birthday party (not that she fully understood) and apparently when all had left the Nurse saw her hug the bear and say. "Well its just the two of us now thank goodness" One has to find a smile in this sad world. love all the other bears. Is there no end to your talents. :)
